I t  is extremely difficult to formulate a totally starch & sugar-free diet using commercially available raw materials .  This product has a starch content of under 5%.

Recent research has shed light on the causes of tie-ing  up (also known as Rhabdomyolysis,  Azoturia, Monday Morning Sickness and Polysaccharide Storage Myopathy) in high-performing  sports horses, such as eventers, show-jumpers, race-horses, polo ponies, etc. etc.

Symptoms include:

 Horses and ponies in work will  usually require a nutrient -dense feed to provide the nutrients essential for performance. The majority of products available commercially have a high cereal content, rich in starch so should be avoided.
